It has been a busy several days. I arrived around 9 o’clock on June 6 connecting from Dallas about one hour late. This was My first FUE Europe as a new member but the 8th annual FUE Europe conference.
I was markedly impressed with the scientific presentations regarding regenerative medicine that was lacking and some of the other Hair Restoration meetings.
Also present was forum founder I have the international alliance of Hair Restoration Surgeons and patient advocate Spencer Kobren of The Bald Truth podcast.
Dr. Alan Bauman from Boca Raton Florida gave a virtual lecture on stem cells where he was streaming live from Florida.
The first two days were largely breakout sessions and main lectures on follicular unit extraction transplantation combined with regenerative medicine.
Hollywood’s well-renowned surgeon Dr. Craig Zering also was present to give his overview of the field and to moderate live surgery.
Dr. Ken Anderson from Atlanta also explained how the ARTAS robot dissects and gets superior grafts. He gave us an interesting perspective on how he has implemented this automation tool in his very artistic and booming practice in Georgia.
On the conclusion of Saturday sessions, participants gathered in the lobby for a tour of the Manchester United soccer stadium. The cocktail reception before and dinner after the tour was fun filled with celebrations and honors to many well-known surgeons worldwide. Dr. Cole presented lifetime achievement awards to Dr. Paul Rose from Miami, Dr. Bill Rassman from Los Angeles to Dr. Bradley Wolf. Dr. Cole from Atlanta was then surprised by the organizer who gave him a lifetime achievement award. This was a phenomenal meeting and I can’t wait for Berlin 2020!
